eMMC (embedded MultiMediaCard) and UFS (Universal Flash Storage) are both embedded storage solutions but with different performance characteristics. eMMC 5.1 uses a parallel interface with sequential read speeds up to 400MB/s, suitable for cost-sensitive applications. UFS uses a serial M-PHY interface with full-duplex communication, providing sequential read speeds up to 2100MB/s for UFS 3.1. UFS offers significantly better performance for high-end smartphones and applications requiring fast data access. eMMC remains popular for mid-range devices and industrial applications due to its cost-effectiveness and mature ecosystem.

Longsys embedded storage is available in a wide range of capacities to meet different application requirements. eMMC products range from 4GB to 256GB, suitable for IoT devices to tablets. UFS products range from 32GB to 512GB, targeting high-end smartphones and automotive applications. eMCP products combine NAND flash with LPDDR memory, available from 8GB+1GB to 128GB+8GB configurations. Automotive-grade products follow the same capacity ranges with enhanced reliability features for harsh environments.

Longsys embedded storage endurance is rated in TBW (Terabytes Written) or program/erase cycles. Consumer-grade eMMC typically supports 3,000 to 5,000 P/E cycles, while industrial-grade supports 10,000+ P/E cycles. UFS products offer similar endurance ratings with higher performance. Automotive-grade products are optimized for the specific write patterns of automotive applications with enhanced endurance. The actual lifespan depends on the write amplification factor and application usage patterns. Longsys provides endurance calculation tools to estimate product life based on specific use cases.

Longsys embedded storage supports various temperature ranges to meet different application requirements. Consumer-grade products operate from 0°C to 70°C, suitable for typical consumer electronics. Industrial-grade products support -40°C to +85°C for harsh industrial environments. Automotive-grade products support -40°C to +105°C (Grade 2) or -40°C to +85°C (Grade 3) per AEC-Q100 standards. Wide temperature range products undergo additional testing and screening to ensure reliability at temperature extremes.

Longsys embedded storage uses TLC (Triple-Level Cell) NAND as the base technology, offering high capacity at competitive cost. pSLC (pseudo-SLC) mode configures TLC NAND to store 1 bit per cell instead of 3 bits, significantly improving endurance (10x improvement) and performance while reducing capacity to 1/3. pSLC mode is ideal for applications requiring high reliability and endurance such as industrial control and automotive systems.
