Gejian offers power modules in various topologies to address different application requirements. Half-bridge modules contain two switches and are the most versatile, used in single-phase inverters, DC-DC converters, and as building blocks for three-phase systems. Full-bridge (H-bridge) modules contain four switches for single-phase inverter applications. Three-phase bridge modules contain six switches for three-phase motor drives and inverters. PIM (Power Integrated Module) configurations include input rectifier, brake chopper, and inverter bridge for complete motor drive solutions. Intelligent Power Modules (IPMs) integrate gate drivers and protection functions. The choice of topology depends on the application - half-bridge for flexibility, three-phase bridge for motor drives, PIM for complete drive solutions, and IPM for maximum integration.

Gejian power modules are available in a wide range of voltage and current ratings to address diverse applications. Voltage ratings include 600V for low-voltage drives and appliances, 650V for general-purpose industrial applications, 1200V for standard industrial drives and solar inverters, and 1700V for high-voltage applications such as traction drives. Current ratings range from 10A to 600A per switch position, with modules available up to 2400A total for high-power applications. Standard current ratings include 15A, 30A, 50A, 75A, 100A, 150A, 200A, 300A, 400A, and 600A. The wide range of ratings allows designers to select modules closely matched to their application requirements, optimizing cost and performance. Custom ratings may be available for high-volume applications.

Proper mounting and cooling are critical for reliable operation of Gejian power modules. Modules should be mounted on flat, clean heatsinks using thermal interface material (TIM) with appropriate thermal conductivity. Mounting torque should follow specifications (typically 2-4 Nm) to ensure good thermal contact without damaging the module. Thermal interface materials like thermal grease or phase-change materials should be applied according to manufacturer recommendations. For cooling, forced air cooling is suitable for lower power applications, while liquid cooling may be required for high-power modules. The heatsink thermal resistance should be calculated based on module losses and maximum allowable junction temperature. Thermal simulation is recommended for high-power designs. Gejian provides thermal models and application support for thermal design optimization.

Gejian Intelligent Power Modules (IPMs) include comprehensive protection features to ensure reliable operation. Undervoltage lockout (UVLO) prevents operation with insufficient gate drive voltage. Overcurrent protection detects excessive current and safely shuts down the module. Short circuit protection responds rapidly to fault conditions to prevent device damage. Overtemperature protection monitors module temperature and reduces current or shuts down if limits are exceeded. Fault reporting provides status indication to the system controller. Some IPMs also include shoot-through prevention to avoid simultaneous conduction of high-side and low-side switches. These integrated protection features significantly simplify system design and improve reliability compared to discrete implementations. External protection circuits may still be needed for application-specific requirements.
