POL (Point-of-Load) converters are non-isolated DC-DC converters placed close to the load (processor, FPGA, etc.) to provide precise voltage regulation. Use POL converters when: loads require tight voltage tolerance (<+/-2%), fast transient response is needed, input voltage differs from load voltage, or multiple voltage rails are needed.

<25% load: 70-85%. Select converters with rated current 50-75% of maximum for best efficiency.
