How do I select the right inductor for an LED driver?

Key parameters include inductance value (typically 4.7μH to 47μH), saturation current (must exceed peak inductor current), and DCR (lower is better for efficiency). Higher inductance reduces ripple current but increases size and cost. Lower inductance allows smaller size but increases ripple and EMI. The inductor saturation current should be at least 1.3 times the maximum peak current. Shielded inductors are recommended for EMI-sensitive applications.
