Charge current selection depends on battery capacity and application requirements. Standard Li-ion batteries are typically charged at 0.5C to 1C rate (where C = battery capacity in mAh). Temperature significantly impacts Li-ion battery charging safety and performance. Standard charging is specified for 0C to 45C. Outside this range: 1) Below 0C - charging can cause lithium plating leading to internal shorts
