What is the difference between NOR and NAND Flash?

NOR Flash offers fast random read access and execute-in-place (XIP) capability, making it ideal for code storage. NAND Flash provides higher density and lower cost per bit, making it better for data storage. NOR has faster read speeds but slower write/erase speeds compared to NAND. NOR is typically used for firmware, boot code, and small data storage. NAND is used for mass storage applications like SSDs and memory cards. NOR is more reliable with higher endurance (100K+ cycles) but more expensive per gigabyte.
