How do I choose between LP3990 and LP5907 series?

Choose LP3990 series for battery-powered applications where ultra-low quiescent current (1μA) is critical for extending battery life. Select LP5907 series for noise-sensitive analog and RF applications where high PSRR (80dB) and low output noise (10μVRMS) are required.

What is the difference between quiescent current and shutdown current?

Quiescent current (IQ) is the current consumed by the LDO when enabled but delivering no load current. Shutdown current is the current consumed when the LDO is disabled via the enable pin. LP3990 has 1μA IQ for always-on operation
