CS6011
CS6011 low-noise precision op-amp with 3MHz bandwidth, 50uV offset, rail-to-rail I/O.
Product Overview
Description
The CS6011 is a low-noise precision operational amplifier designed for signal conditioning applications requiring wider bandwidth than zero-drift op-amps can provide. It offers an excellent balance of DC precision and AC performance.
With 3MHz bandwidth and low noise characteristics, the CS6011 is ideal for sensor signal conditioning, active filters, and audio applications. The 50uV offset voltage provides good DC accuracy for most applications.
The rail-to-rail input and output maximize dynamic range in single-supply applications. Low power consumption and wide supply voltage range make it suitable for battery-powered devices.

FAE Expert Insights
"The CS6011 is my recommendation when you need wider bandwidth than zero-drift op-amps can provide. The 3MHz bandwidth and low noise make it excellent for sensor signal conditioning where some AC response is needed. While the 50uV offset is higher than CS6001's 5uV, it's still excellent for many applications. The lower cost makes it attractive for designs where extreme DC precision isn't required. I've used this part in audio preamps, active filters, and general signal conditioning with excellent results. The rail-to-rail I/O is particularly useful in single-supply designs."

Frequently Asked Questions
When should I choose CS6011 over CS6001?
Choose CS6011 when you need wider bandwidth (3MHz vs 1.5MHz) or when 50uV offset is sufficient for your application. The CS6011 offers lower cost while still providing good DC precision. It's ideal for sensor signal conditioning, active filters, and applications where AC performance matters. Choose CS6001 when you need the ultimate DC precision (5uV offset) and can accept narrower bandwidth. For purely DC applications like weighing scales, CS6001 is the better choice.
Use CS6011 for bandwidth-critical applications; CS6001 for maximum DC precision.
What is the noise performance of CS6011?
The CS6011 features low input-referred noise of 15nV/rtHz at 1kHz, making it suitable for sensitive signal conditioning applications. The noise is lower than most zero-drift op-amps at higher frequencies because it doesn't have chopper noise. Total noise in a circuit depends on bandwidth - use the noise density multiplied by the square root of bandwidth to estimate total noise. For a 10kHz bandwidth system, total noise would be approximately 1.5uV RMS. This is excellent for most sensor and audio applications.
15nV/rtHz noise density is excellent for sensor and audio applications.
