CS6001
CS6001 zero-drift operational amplifier, 5uV offset, 0.05uV/C drift, rail-to-rail I/O, 1.5MHz bandwidth.
Product Overview
Description
The CS6001 is a high-precision zero-drift operational amplifier featuring exceptional DC accuracy. With just 5uV maximum input offset voltage and 0.05uV/C drift, it eliminates the need for external calibration in most precision applications.
The chopper-stabilized architecture continuously corrects offset voltage, providing consistent performance over temperature and time. Rail-to-rail input and output maximize dynamic range in single-supply applications.
With 1.5MHz bandwidth and low noise, the CS6001 is suitable for a wide range of precision signal conditioning applications including sensor interfaces and measurement systems.

FAE Expert Insights
"The CS6001 is my first choice for precision DC measurement applications. The 5uV offset eliminates the need for calibration in many designs, saving manufacturing cost. The near-zero drift ensures accuracy is maintained over temperature - critical for industrial applications. I've used this op-amp in weighing scales, current sense circuits, and thermocouple amplifiers with excellent results. The chopper noise is well-controlled and typically not an issue for DC or low-frequency applications. The rail-to-rail I/O maximizes dynamic range. Compared to international competitors, this op-amp offers similar performance at a much better price point."

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the chopper noise and how does it affect my circuit?
Zero-drift op-amps use chopping or auto-zero techniques that introduce switching noise at the chopping frequency (typically a few kHz to tens of kHz) and its harmonics. The CS6001 has internal filtering that reduces this noise, but some residual noise may be present. For DC or low-frequency applications (<100Hz), this noise is typically not an issue. For applications sensitive to noise in the audio band or higher frequencies, add external filtering (RC filter at op-amp output) or consider a traditional low-noise op-amp. The chopper noise is usually much smaller than the DC offset errors it eliminates, making zero-drift op-amps beneficial for most precision DC applications.
Chopper noise is typically not an issue for DC applications; add filtering if sensitive to higher frequency noise.
