AEC-Q100 grades define different temperature ranges for automotive applications: Grade 0 (-40°C to +150°C) for under-hood and extreme environments, Grade 1 (-40°C to +125°C) for passenger compartment and general automotive use, and Grade 2 (-40°C to +105°C) for less demanding applications. Higher grades require more stringent testing and typically cost more. Most automotive body electronics use Grade 1, while powertrain applications may require Grade 0.
