What security features do Renesas MCUs offer?

Renesas RA family offers advanced security with Arm TrustZone technology, secure boot, hardware cryptography accelerators (AES, RSA, ECC), and tamper detection. Selected devices include ISO 26262 functional safety support. RX and RL78 families offer basic security features including code protection and unique IDs. What is the Flexible Software Package (FSP)?

FSP is Renesas' software framework for RA MCUs providing production-ready HAL drivers, middleware stacks (FreeRTOS, AWS IoT, Azure), and security libraries. FSP uses a configuration tool integrated with e2 studio to generate initialization code. It follows CMSIS standards for easy migration. The modular architecture allows selecting only required components to minimize code size. FSP includes extensive examples and is royalty-free.
