FAE Expert Insights
"The CS60-16IO1 is my choice for high-power phase control. The 60A rating handles up to 25-30kW single-phase loads. I've deployed these in large industrial ovens, electroplating rectifiers, and DC motor controls. The 1600V rating provides excellent margin for 480V systems. Gate drive is straightforward - 50mA trigger current works well with standard optocouplers. Surge capability (800A) handles transformer inrush and heater cold starts. Thermal design at 50A is manageable with good heatsinking. The device has proven very reliable in harsh industrial environments. For higher currents, these parallel reasonably well with matched devices."
