Description
The DSEI30-10A provides 1000V reverse voltage capability with 30A average current and 30ns reverse recovery time. The balanced performance makes it ideal for PFC applications and high-voltage rectification where both voltage margin and switching speed are important.
The TO-220 package offers cost-effective thermal management for medium power applications. The 1.35V forward voltage drop provides good efficiency for this voltage rating.

"The DSEI30-10A is a cost-effective solution for 1000V applications. The 30A rating with 30ns trr hits a sweet spot for PFC circuits and medium-power SMPS. I use these frequently in universal input PFC boost stages where 1000V provides margin for 380-400V output. The TO-220 package is easier to mount and heatsink than TO-247 for lower currents. At 20A continuous, losses are manageable with modest heatsinking. The 30ns recovery is fast enough for 65kHz PFC operation with reasonable efficiency. For the price, this is an excellent value diode for 1000V applications."
