AEC-Q100 qualified 300mA LDO with extended 60V input range for 24V truck and heavy vehicle applications.

Product Overview

Description

The SL7333H is a high-voltage LDO specifically designed for 24V automotive and heavy vehicle applications. The extended 60V input range accommodates severe load dump conditions in 24V systems.

With 300mA output capability and 3.3V fixed output, it efficiently powers modern low-voltage electronics in trucks, buses, and construction equipment. The 100uA quiescent current minimizes battery drain.

Comprehensive protection features include over-current, thermal shutdown, and reverse polarity protection. Available in TO-252 and TO-263 packages for thermal management.

"The SL7333H is essential for 24V vehicle applications. Standard 45V LDOs are not sufficient for 24V systems where load dumps can exceed 60V. This LDO provides the voltage margin needed for reliable operation. I've used it in truck body electronics and construction equipment where 24V is standard. The 3.3V output is compatible with modern MCUs and sensors. The protection features are critical in the harsh electrical environment of heavy vehicles."

Frequently Asked Questions

Why do 24V systems need 60V LDOs?

24V vehicle systems experience load dump transients that can reach 60V or higher. Load dump occurs when a charged inductor (alternator field winding) loses its load, causing a voltage spike. Standard 45V LDOs would be damaged by these transients. The SL7333H's 60V rating provides adequate margin for reliable operation in 24V systems.

Use 60V LDOs for 24V systems. Use 45V LDOs for 12V systems.
