FAE Expert Insights
"The SGM8532 is my first recommendation for ultra-low-power designs. The 800nA quiescent current is exceptional - I've seen designs achieve 5+ years of operation from a CR2032 coin cell. The trade-off is limited bandwidth (10kHz), but this is sufficient for many sensor applications. The rail-to-rail I/O is valuable for maximizing signal range in 1.8V systems. For sensor applications requiring long battery life, this op-amp is hard to beat. Just be aware of the higher noise compared to higher-power op-amps."
