FAE Expert Insights
"The CBM92AD16 is a solid choice for precision measurement applications. In my experience with industrial customers, the ±1 LSB INL and 91dB SNR are impressive for this price point. The flexibility of unipolar/bipolar input is valuable for sensor interface designs. I particularly like the single 5V supply operation which simplifies power supply design compared to dual-supply alternatives. The 15mW power consumption enables battery-powered data acquisition. One tip: use a clean reference voltage as ADC performance is directly dependent on reference quality. With proper PCB layout and a good reference, this ADC delivers consistent, accurate results."

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the price difference between CBM92AD16 and competitors?
The CBM92AD16 is positioned as a cost-effective solution with approximately 30-40% lower price compared to established competitors like ADI and TI. The exact pricing depends on volume and configuration. Despite the lower price, the CBM92AD16 delivers comparable performance with 91dB SNR and ±1 LSB INL. This makes it an excellent choice for cost-sensitive industrial and medical applications without sacrificing performance. Contact LiTong sales for specific pricing based on your volume requirements.
CBM92AD16 offers excellent value for high-volume precision measurement applications.
Can CBM92AD16 be used in battery-powered applications?
Yes, the CBM92AD16 is well-suited for battery-powered applications with its low 15mW power consumption. At 1MSPS sampling rate, it consumes only 15mW typical. The device also features power-down modes reducing consumption to <1μA when disabled. For continuous sampling, a typical 1000mAh battery could power the ADC for approximately 2700 hours (112 days). The single 5V supply operation simplifies power supply design for battery systems. Contact LiTong FAE for power optimization recommendations.
