Description
The ENC28J60 is a stand-alone Ethernet controller with an industry-standard Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI). It is designed to is an Ethernet network interface for any controller equipped with SPI.
The device includes an integrated MAC and 10BASE-T PHY, 8KB transmit/receive packet buffer, and supports full and half-duplex modes. The SPI interface allows any microcontroller to add Ethernet connectivity.
With programmable automatic retransmit on collision and programmable padding and CRC generation, the ENC28J60 reduces host processor overhead for network communication.
