FAE Expert Insights
"The ACM8221 is an excellent instrumentation amplifier that I frequently use for weigh scale and strain gauge applications. The 120dB CMRR is genuine - I've measured it myself. The low offset voltage means less calibration is needed. One tip: use a good quality gain resistor (0.1% or better) as the gain accuracy depends on it."
High CMRR and low offset make it ideal for precision sensor applications

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I set the gain of the ACM8221?
The gain is set by a single external resistor RG connected between the RG pins. The formula is Gain = 1 + (49.4kΩ / RG). For example, for Gain = 100, RG = 499Ω. For Gain = 1000, RG = 49.4Ω. Use 0.1% tolerance resistors for accurate gain. The gain can be changed dynamically by switching different resistor values.
Use precision resistors (0.1%) for accurate gain setting.
